Viewing Assigned Features in the GIS Window

To view a feature in the GIS window

The Go To and Highlight commands allow you to locate features of a GIS design in the GIS window. The Go To command centers the GIS window around the assigned feature that you have selected in the Design Workspace and highlights it. The Highlight command can be used to visually isolate the selected feature from surrounding design elements without changing the current boundaries of the window.

If you are viewing a GIS design in read-only mode, these commands will be available if your are connected to the GIS and if your version of the GIS database contains the design.

The Go To and Highlight commands are accessed from the Actions menu of the Design Assistant and from the shortcut menu.

  1. From the list of features displayed in the Design Workspace, select the feature that you want to view in the GIS window.
  2. To center the GIS window around the feature and highlight it, choose Go To from the Actions menu. To highlight the feature without changing the window boundaries, choose Highlight.

Or right-click the feature and choose Go To or Highlight from the shortcut menu.
